London Startup Map is a free, public map of startup offices in Greater London, with an overlay of upcoming events. It is for anyone interested in the London startup ecosystem — founders, operators, investors, and people new to the scene — who wants to see who is around, where they sit, and what is happening this week, without wading through a directory that has no geography.

The unique angle is location-first. Every approved company is a pin on a Mapbox map of London. Pins are at building level only, never a floor or unit: several startups in the same building share one pin, which expands to show them all. That is a privacy rule, not a missing feature.

The closest competitor is a logo-and-blurb list with no map, no office locations, and no events layer. This site is the other way around: you see the city first, then the company.

Who it is for

Founders, operators, investors, and anyone else curious about the London startup ecosystem. Filter by neighbourhood (by searching an address or area), funding stage, sector, Y Combinator batch, or whether the company is hosting an event this week. Each company has a profile page with a one-liner, founders, investors, building-level office, and any linked events.

How companies get on the map

Listings come from a public submit form, from hosts and sponsors of London events, and from a weekly newsletter scan. Only Approved rows with a geocoded Greater London office are shown. The machine can auto-approve a form when the submitter’s email matches the company website and the address geocodes inside London; it never auto-rejects. Rejection stays manual.

This is not a live Crunchbase or Dealroom feed. Funding stage and investor names are curated facts on the listing, not a markets terminal. Events are matched from public Luma calendars, not typed in by each company.

Who runs it

London Startup Map is an independent project built and run by Foo Ming Li, a product manager in London. There is no office you can walk into and no sales team. Corrections, privacy requests, and press go through the contact page. If you want a company added, use the Submit button on the map.
